Pensacola Beach Sign

Originally built in the late 50’s, the Pensacola Beach Sign has been a landmark for everyone headed to the beach.  Eventually the sailfish rusted to the point it was beyond repair. We replaced the sailfish in 2003. We fabricated a new aluminum structure and replaced all the faded plastic panels for the face.  After Hurricane Ivan significantly damaged the sign, we replaced the main section of the sign. The new center section of the sign was fabricated in multiple sections and included new mechanical flasher/chaser units along with nearly 1000’ of neon and miles of wiring.  Plastic Arts Sign Co. has also had a contract to provide routine maintenance and repair on the beach sign since the late 80’s.
